John
Spitzer
John Spitzer has been avidly participating in the TTRPG culture for the past 15 years. He has run dozens of campaigns in over 20 different systems/settings. Using improvisational skills and projected atmosphere, Spitzer is a GM who fully embodies the NPCs and world in which they live. Often favoring games of dark political intrigue, deep mysteries, daunting social interactions, he focuses on the PCs and how the decisions they make affect the emergent story.
As a lifelong performer, John's studied Improv, Sketch, and Storytelling at the UCB Theatre under teachers such as Julie Brister, Sean Conroy, and Greg Tuculescu. As a practitioner of the Michael Chekhov approach to acting, he has trained under Lisa Dalton and Wil Kilroy through the NMCA. John is currently the Artistic Director of an independent theatre, The Stars Playhouse. His improv troupe, Brian's Beard performs regularly, as does his theatrical movement troupe, The CCircle.
